Pune 12th August 2023: The Guardian Minister of Pune Chandrakant Patil on Friday held a review meeting on various issues at the Pune Municipal Corporation. During the meeting he instructed the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) to convert all the diesel-operated buses into CNG within two months. He asked the officials to do it in a phased manner.

There are a total of 123 diesel-operated buses in the PMPML fleet in service while 50 more buses are also there which are not in use. Patil asked the officials to convert these buses to CNG to ensure that all the buses in the PMPML fleet operate on green fuel. He also said that the usage of green fuel is important to fight against pollution in the city.
