Pune: ATS Arrests Youth From Uttar Pradesh For Links With Lashkar-E-Toiba

Pune, 13th June 2022: The Pune unit of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a man from Uttar Pradesh on suspicion of having links with banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) based in Pakistan.

The ATS had earlier arrested two persons from Dapodi in Pune and from Kashmir on suspicion of having links with the terrorist organisation.

 

Enamul Haque, a resident of Uttar Pradesh is the name of the arrested youth. Junaid Mohammad (28), now a resident of Dapodi, a native of Gondhanpur, Tal. Khamgaon, Dist. Buldhana and his accomplice Aftab Hussain Abdul Jabbar Shah (28), a resident of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir were arrested on suspicion of having links with Lashkar-e-Toiba.

 

Eight mobiles have been seized from them. The suspects Junaid and Aftab were interrogated. Based on the information received, the ATS came to know that Enamul Haque was in touch with Lashkar-e-Toiba. The squad has since arrested Enamul Haque from Uttar Pradesh.
