Pune, 20th July 2023: In a positive development for Pune’s water supply, several dams in the region have seen remarkable improvements in their storage levels over the last 24 hours. Khadakwasla, Panshet, Varasgaon, and Temghar dams witnessed an impressive increase of 5%, reaching 42% of their total capacity.

Similarly, Pawana and Mulshi dams experienced an 8% surge, reaching 48% and 38% of their storage capacity, respectively. This rise comes as a relief for the water-scarce areas.
In response to the heavy rainfall in Pune, authorities have taken precautionary measures to ensure the safety of residents. The administration has made the decision to close 355 schools today and tomorrow in areas prone to flooding and other difficulties caused by the heavy downpour.
