Barbie v/s Oppenheimer: Fans Eagerly Anticipate July 21st Release
Kolkata, 19 July, 2023: Two of the most eagerly anticipated movies of Summer 2023 are all set to release on Friday, July 21st. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie has generated tremendous hype across age groups in different social media platforms.
The advance booking for both the films has been started 10 days prior to release date, and the two films are all set for one of the greatest cinematic clashes. As per reports, so far Oppenheimer has sold 90,000 tickets across all three multiple chains – PVR, INOX and Cinepolis, IMAX screens – for the opening day (July 21st). On the other hand, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer Barbie has sold more than 16,000 tickets across leading Indian multiplexes.
Furthermore, Mumbai Theatres sells Oppenheimer tickets at a record price of 2,450 Rupees and the cheapest ticket for 760 Rupees. Usually, the ticket prices for movies range from 250-350 Rupees
Reportedly, lead actor Cillian Murphy of Oppenheimer in an interview, stated that, “I will be going to see Barbie 100%, I cannot wait to see it. I think its great for the industry and the audience that we have two amazing films by two amazing film makers in the same day!”. Similarly, Greta and Margot posed with a ticket in front of the poster of Oppenheimer at a cinema hall, lending their support to Nolan’s film.
Certainly, July is a much anticipated and exciting month for movie buffs, one eagerly anticipates the success of both these films.
