Pune: Autorickshaw Strike Called Off After Assurance Of Strict Action Against Illegal Bike Taxi Service

Pune, 28th November 2022: After assurance of strict action against illegal bike taxi service, the autorickshaw union has called off their strike.
Keshav Kshirsagar, President, Baghtoy Rickshawwala Forum, informed that Pune District Guardian minister Chandrakant Patil has assured that a committee under the leadership of the district collector will be formed.
“Regional Transport Officials (RTO) and members of autorickshaw unions will also be part of the committee and the administration will take action against the illegal bike-taxi service. If no action is taken by the administration till December 11, the auto unions will start their protest again”, Kshirsagar added.
