Azam Campus Celebrates Republic Day 2026 with Patriotic Fervour and Robo Parade

Camp, 27th January 2026: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society (MCES), Azam Campus, Pune, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The national flag was unfurled by former Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Chairman Kishoraje Nimbalkar.

Following the flag hoisting ceremony, a series of cultural programmes based on the theme “Empowerment” were organised. MCES President Abeda P. Inamdar presided over the event and, in her introductory address, highlighted the importance of Republic Day and the various dimensions of empowerment.

At the V. M. Ghani Sports Complex, students presented cultural performances focusing on physical, educational, economic, women’s empowerment and national security. Patriotic songs, dances, skits and speeches by students captivated the audience. The entire programme was held in an atmosphere filled with national pride.

The event was attended by MCES Secretary Prof. Irfan Sheikh, Dr N. Y. Qazi, Dr Arif Memon, Shaheeda Sayyed, Haji Kadir Qureshi, Iftekhar Inamdar, Hanif Sheikh, Tanveer Inamdar, along with trustees and governing board members, directors, principals, department heads, teaching and non-teaching staff, and a large number of students from various institutions on the Azam Campus.

Robo Parade Steals the Show

A special attraction of the Republic Day parade was the participation of robots from the PAI ICT Academy. The robots, carrying tricolour balloons and operated by students using remote control, drew widespread attention. The Robo Parade beautifully blended technology with patriotism and emerged as a symbol of modern India, leaving a strong impression on the audience.
