Pune: B. U. Bhandari M&M Faces Cheating Allegations Worth Rs 2.16 Crores, FIR Registered

Pune, 29th November 2023: A case of cheating has been registered against B. U. Bhandari M&M Realtors Company at the Sinhagad Road Police Station, Pune City Police. The complaint alleges a fraud of Rs. 2 crore 16 lakhs, involving the non-provision of offices in a planned building and the failure to refund the booking amount with interest. The incident dates back to October 31, 2020.

 

The accused in this case, identified as Rajnish Maneklal Bhandari and Anuj Maneklal Bhandari of ‘B. U. Bhandari M&M Realtors LLP’. Naresh Ramchandra Mittal (59) of Sadashiv Peth has lodged the complaint.

 

The complainant entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with B.U. Bhandari M&M Realtors regarding the provision of office spaces 3, 5, 6, and 7 on the fifth floor of a planned building in Kharadi. The total area covered was 2,511 square feet, and the agreement also included four covered parking spaces.

 

The MOU, which involved a transaction of one crore four lakh five thousand rupees, was signed in Mittal’s office. However, despite the financial transaction, Mittal did not receive possession of the promised office spaces. The complaint further states that the agreed-upon amount was not returned with interest, leading to the allegations of fraud.

 

Senior Police Inspector Abhay Mahajan is currently heading the investigation into this case.
