Pune, 29th November 2023: A case of embezzlement and fraud has surfaced, with Maruti Nivritti Navale, the founder of Sinhagad Institutes, at its centre.

The Kondhwa police station, Pune city police, has registered a case against Navale, accusing him of misappropriating the provident fund of 116 employees at Sinhagad City School in Tilekar Nagar, Kondhwa. The alleged incidents occurred between October 2019 and June 2022.

Rahul Eknath Kokate (51) of Hadapsar has complained about this matter. Kokate, serving as an officer in the Provident Fund Department, has raised serious concerns about the financial misconduct under Navale’s leadership.

The crux of the matter revolves around the deduction of provident fund contributions from the monthly salaries of approximately 116 employees between October 2019 and June 2022. Shockingly, out of the total deduction amounting to Rs 74,68,636, a mere Rs 375,774 found its way into the provident fund. The remaining Rs 70,92,862 allegedly became a tool for Navale’s personal benefit, never making it to the employees’ provident fund accounts.

In light of these allegations, a formal complaint has been filed in court, prompting the Kondhwa police to register a case against Maruti Nivritti Navale.

The Sinhagad Institute, known for its educational endeavors, now faces scrutiny over the alleged financial mismanagement under its founder’s leadership.
