Pune: Baner-Aundh Link Road Faces Second Round of Demolition Drive Against Illegal Constructions
Pune, 23rd May 2023: Baner-Aundh Link Road, specifically the stretch from Medi Point Chowk to Baner Jupiter Hospital Chowk, witnessed a joint operation conducted yesterday by the Construction Development Department Zone 3, Aundh-Baner Ward Office, and the Anti-Encroachment Department with support from the police staff.
The aim of the operation was to combat illegal constructions along the blue flood line in the area.
Despite previous actions taken to address the issue, citizens raised concerns about the recurrence of demolished constructions and new illegal structures in the restricted flood-prone zone. Consequently, a fresh round of action was initiated to rectify the situation.
During the operation, approximately 67,000 square feet of land was cleared from encroachments, leading to a significant area being reclaimed.
