Pune: Baner Road To Experience Temporary Closure Due To Metro Project Work, PMPML Bus Routes To Be Changed For Four Days

Pune, 10th August 2023: In light of the ongoing Pune Metro project between Shivajinagar and Hinjawadi Phase 3, Baner Road will undergo a temporary closure from Someshwar Wadi Phata to Mahabaleshwar Hotel Baner. The closure is scheduled to take place over a four-day period, starting from the 12th to the 15th of August 2023.

This essential step has been initiated to facilitate the smooth progress of the metro project, resulting in the temporary alteration of certain PMPML bus routes.

The Chief Transport Manager (Operations) of the PMPML has shared that bus routes 114, 208, 256, 258, and 360 will be temporarily modified to accommodate the closure. Buses following these routes and destined for Baner will be rerouted during this period.

The revised path for these buses involves turning right at Banerphata Chowk and subsequently taking a left at Sarja Hotel. The route then continues through Aundh ITI and Parihar Chowk, followed by a right turn at DP Road at Ambedkar Chowk. A left turn at Medi Point Hospital leads the buses to progress along Link Road. Subsequently, after a left turn at the square, the buses will resume their regular route from Baner Bus Stand to Kapil Malhar Square.

It is important to note that this temporary alteration will only be in effect until the 15th of August 2023. Commencing from the 16th of August 2023, all bus routes are set to return to their normal operations, ensuring the convenience of passengers traveling along these routes.
