Pune: Baner to Parihar Chowk Route Diverted Temporarily for PMC’s Water Pipeline Project
Aundh, 9th December 2023: Commuters traveling from Baner to Parihar Chowk on the ITI road will experience a temporary diversion from December 5 to December 19, courtesy of the ongoing 24×7 water pipeline work undertaken by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
According to a press release from the Pune Traffic Police, the extensive pipeline work on ITI Road necessitates a temporary alteration in traffic flow. The pipeline laying activity is concentrated in the middle of the road, prompting the following changes from December 5 to December 19:
– Traffic heading from Baner Phata to Parihar Chowk, specifically between Hotel Sarja and Titan Showroom, will be temporarily redirected.
Alternative Route:
Motorists traveling to Parihar Chowk from Baner Phata are advised to turn left at Baner Phata, make a right turn from Ishwar Medical on Seasons Road, then take another right turn at Avik Polychem. They can proceed straight on ITI Road to reach Parihar Chowk.
No modifications will be made to the traffic flow from Parihar Chowk to Baner Phata during this period.
Concerns have been raised by regular commuters who consider the Aundh to Baner Road section crucial, urging authorities to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. A frequent traveler on the route emphasized the need for clear signboards at the pipeline work site, providing information about deadlines and contact details for relevant authorities.
