Pune/Patna, December 18, 2020: Agri10x lives up to its promise of 10 times profit, 10 times happiness by bringing relief to a Bihar’s farmer. The world’s first Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain enabled global e-marketplace has opened doors for intra-state trading across India by directly linking farmers with buyers.

Om Prakash Yadav, who had sown cauliflower on his 5-acre land at Muktapur village in Bihar’s Samastipur district, was left dejected when the mandi (wholesale market) offered just Re 1/kg for his produce. Distraught seeing all his hard work gone to waste, he started destroying his ready-to-harvest crop. Hearing the plight of the overwrought farmer, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad with the help of CSC centre, ropes in Agri10x to save the farmer’s produce.

Agri10x, which has an active network of more than 5,000 agri produce buyers, arranged the sale of the farmer’s produce at Rs10/kg to a Delhi-based trader, which is 10 times more than the mandi price offer. The loading, transportation and delivery of the produce was taken care by the trader itself without the farmer having to physically leave his field. Mr. Yadav also received an advance of Rs 40,000 for his produce straight into his bank account, bringing much added relief to the farmer. This shows a huge scope of digital transformation within the agriculture sector, thanks to the new reform farm laws. Applauding the efforts of Agri10x, Mr. Prasad appreciated the timely help and quick response of the agtech firm in helping out the farmer.

Humbled by the praise, Mr. Pankajj Ghode, CEO, Agri10x, said, “I am thankful to my team for their stellar performance in Bihar. With more than 4 lakh CSC centres that deploy 12 lakh volunteers, Agri10x is closely working with the government set-up to transform the lives of farmers across India. Agri10x has many success stories to its credit including helping Tripura farmers export their pineapples to Mumbai and Dubai markets, which fetched very good returns to them.
