Pune-Based IT Professional To Open School Without Fees Near Lucknow In Uttar Pradesh
Pune, 3rd November 2021: City-based Gurpreet Singh, CEO of Solistic Decision Sciences India, has decided to start a school near his hometown Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
The speciality of the school called ‘Anand Van’ will be its teaching faculty (both local and international) as well as the students who will not be required to pay any fee. The school premises will be spread over 35,000 sq ft land in Indara village located about 40 km from Lucknow in Bakshi Ka Talab block.
Addressing a press conference in Pune, Gurpreet Singh said that he is fulfilling the dream of his father Sardar Swaran Singh who could not get proper education due to family responsibilities.
A true son of the soil, Gurpreet Singh has decided to get the international community involved in this project and promised that this would be an amazing experience for the children of Indara and the community as a whole besides for those, who will contribute towards this project in various big ways.
Explaining the facilities, Gurpreet Singh said, “The groundbreaking ceremony will be held in January 2022 and the academic session is expected to begin by June/July 2022. We will build a Kerala style single floor self-sustaining building. It will have solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems.
All classrooms will be equipped with projectors and the school will have all modern labs for children. The focus will be on imparting education and not grading students on the basis of marks. Initially, the school will cater to 150 students from classes 1 to 5. We will put children in six months learning incubator. Their parents can also join. The local teachers will be trained by us. We have not yet decided on the affiliating board. It will be done based on an assessment of children as to which board will be beneficial for them.”
Over 150 people attended the soft launch of the project event which took off from the Roof Top Lounge of St. Laurn, Pune. Pradeep Lokhande Founder – Rural Relations was also present on the occasion.
