20 Districts In Maharashtra Have Active Covid Patients Less Than 100

Pune, 3rd November 2021: The number of coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients in Pune city and district has come under control, and the number of new patients in Maharashtra state is also coming down daily. As a result, there has been a significant reduction in the number of active patients. Statistics show that the number of active patients in most districts of the state is 100 or less.

The number of patients has been declining since last week. As a result, the number of patients undergoing treatment is declining. The number of active patients in 20 districts is less than 100.

These mainly include Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli districts.

The number of active patients is less than 500 in Bhiwandi, Osmanabad, Aurangabad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur and Nashik districts.

State Infectious Diseases Surveillance Officer Dr Pradip Awate said that there are currently 15,552 active patients in the state. Most active patients are in Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Ahmednagar districts. However, the reduction seen in active patients is significant and positive.

He appealed to citizens to exercise caution during Diwali and its aftermath of tourism and meetings. He also said that it is possible to maintain the decline in the number of patients by following COVID preventive norms like wearing masks, personal hygiene, hand washing, physical distance and avoiding crowds.
