Pune: Bhau Rangari Ganpati Trust Announces Immersion Procession Schedule for Anant Chaturdashi

Pune, 23rd September 2026: The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust has announced the schedule for its Ganpati immersion procession on Anant Chaturdashi, marking the conclusion of this year’s Ganeshotsav.

The idol of Lord Ganesha will leave the Suvarnaganesh Dham at 8 am in the Shri Vighnaharta Rath and proceed towards the Tilak statue at Mandai. The immersion procession from Mandai is scheduled to begin at 6 pm, following the immersion of the five Manache Ganpati idols and as per the timings fixed by the police administration.

Trust festival head and trustee Punit Balan said the Anant Chaturdashi puja will be held at Suvarnaganesh Dham at 7.30 am. The puja will be attended by Dr Bhavarth Dekhne, chief trustee of the Alandi Devasthan, and Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner of Police Krushikesh Rawale along with their spouses.

Following the puja, the idol will leave Suvarnaganesh Dham at 8 am in the Shri Vighnaharta Rath and head towards the Tilak statue at Mandai, from where the immersion procession will later commence.

Five Manache Ganpati to receive floral garlands

As part of Pune’s traditional Ganeshotsav customs, the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust will offer floral garlands to all five Manache Ganpati at the Tilak statue.

After the immersion of the five Manache Ganpati idols, the Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust’s immersion procession will begin from Mandai at 6 pm, according to the schedule fixed by the police administration.

Balan appealed to devotees to maintain discipline and peace during the procession and cooperate with the administration.

“Pune’s Ganeshotsav has a rich tradition and cultural heritage. We are making efforts to ensure that this year’s immersion ceremony is conducted with devotion and enthusiasm. Ganesh devotees should participate in large numbers while maintaining discipline and peace during the procession. It is our collective responsibility to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha in an environmentally responsible manner. All devotees should cooperate with the administration and bring the festival to a devotional conclusion,” Balan said.
