Pune-Bikaner Weekly Express Inaugurated, Strengthening Maharashtra-Rajasthan Connectivity

Pune, 30th May 2023: Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated the Pune-Bikaner Weekly Express today, strengthening the direct transportation link between Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The virtual ceremony witnessed the departure of the train from Pune at 20:10 hrs on 30th May 2023, in the esteemed presence of P.P. Chaudhary, Member of Parliament from Pali Rajasthan, and Jora Ram Kumavat, Member of Legislative Assembly from Sumerpur, Pali Rajasthan.

 

Naresh Lalwani, the General Manager of Central Railways, warmly welcomed the initiative with his speech, while Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Officer of Pune, extended her gratitude in the vote of thanks.

 

Commencing with train number 01147, the inaugural service is scheduled to arrive in Bikaner at 20:45 hrs on the following day. The regular schedule of the Pune-Bikaner Weekly Express is as follows:

 

Train number 20476, a weekly special, will depart from Pune every Tuesday at 20:10 hrs, starting from 6th June 2023, reaching Bikaner at 20:45 hrs the next day.

 

Train number 20475, also a weekly special, will depart from Bikaner every Monday at 07:10 hrs, starting from 5th June 2023, and arrive in Pune at 07:35 hrs the next day.

 

The train will make noteworthy stops at Lonavala, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Jawai Bandh, Falna, Rani, Marwar Junction, Pali, Luni, Jodhpur, Gotan, Merta Road, Nagaur, and Nokha.

 

The Pune-Bikaner Weekly Express boasts a well-equipped composition, including 2 AC 2-Tier coaches, 5 AC 3-Tier coaches, 7 Sleeper class coaches, 4 General Second class coaches, and 2 Luggage cum Guard Brake Vans.

 

This new railway service brings forth numerous advantages for travelers. Bikaner, situated on the North Western Railway, serves as a prominent tourist hub with seamless connections to New Delhi, Jaipur, and other major cities.
