Bike Rider Dies After Tanker Collision on Bibwewadi–Kondhwa Road

Bibwewadi, 25th April 2026: A fatal road accident was reported on the Gangadham–Bibwewadi stretch on Saturday morning after a tanker collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the death of the rider.

The incident occurred around 10:30 am near Kalyan Bhel on Bibwewadi–Kondhwa Road. According to police, the tanker (MH 12 FZ 4346) crashed into a motorcycle (MH 12 SC 8819) ridden by Sachin Alhat, aged between 35 and 40 years.

Following the collision, the rider was found unconscious at the spot and was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital for treatment. However, he was later declared dead.

Police have taken the tanker driver, identified as Nilesh Laxman Pote, into custody. The vehicle and the accused have been handed over to Market Yard Police Station, where further investigation is underway.

Officials from the traffic department confirmed that necessary legal action is being taken in the case.
