Pimpri Chinchwad, 5th June 2022: BJP criticized Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for creating an artificial water shortage in the city along with administrator Rajesh Patil.

BJP has criticized Pawar, saying that NCP’s politics is going on with the municipal elections in mind.

Pawar was on a tour of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday. This time, he criticized the BJP in various places. He scoffed at the BJP leaders for failing to provide daily water supply, to which the BJP has responded. BJP spokesperson Eknath Pawar has issued a statement in this regard.

Eknath Pawar said, “NCP has been in power for 15 years by showing the hope of providing water 24 hours a day. However, the promise of water was not kept. At present, artificial water scarcity is being created in the city under PCMC administrator Rajesh Patil and the BJP is being blamed for this. BJP brought water from Andra dam in the last five years. If this water becomes available, the water problem of the entire city will be solved. As soon as the elections came, Ajit Pawar started looking at the issues of Pimpri-Chinchwad. He promised to provide water to the citizens every day.”

Eknath Pawar further said that in the last five years, BJP has transformed the city. While BJP has done development work, Ajit Pawar is doing the ground breaking and inaugurating those development works. Basically, Ajit Pawar has not been able to solve the city’s water problem. When the NCP was in power for fifteen years in PCMC, the water problem could have been solved directly from the Pavana dam through a closed pipeline.
