Pune: BJP Leader’s Daughter Found Dead At Flat, Suicide Suspected

Bavdhan, 19th March 2023: A 24-year-old computer engineer, Sayali Vasudev Batte, died by suicide by hanging herself in her residence in Bavdhan area, Pune. The exact reason for her suicide is not known.

Sayali had been staying in Pune for the past year for her job. She was the daughter of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vasudev Butte and former corporator Varsha Vasudev Butte from Gadchiroli.

Sayali was found hanging in her apartment on Saturday. She had been living alone in Pune and had contacted her family before taking the drastic step. Her brother, who had been staying with her, had recently returned to Gadchiroli. The family rushed to Pune after getting the news of her suicide.

The Hinjewadi police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) have registered a case of accidental death pending investigation.
