Pune, 7th April 2024: During a campaign visit to the Kasba constituency, BJP Maharashtra State President Chandrasekhar Bawankule voiced his disappointment over the absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture on first aid kits designated for heatstroke relief distribution. In the backdrop of the impending Lok Sabha elections, political parties nationwide are gearing up for intense campaigning.

BJP’s rallying cry of ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar’ has set the tone, prompting a unified effort from opposition parties, including Congress, to thwart BJP’s electoral ambitions. In Pune’s Lok Sabha constituency, BJP has fielded former mayor Muralidhar Mohol, while Congress has nominated MLA Ravindra Dhangekar, and Vasant More represents Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, setting the stage for a three-way electoral contest. Against this backdrop, the candidates have commenced their campaign activities.

During his visit to Appa Balwant Chowk in the Kasba Assembly Constituency, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule campaigned for Mahayuti candidate Muralidhar Mohol. He distributed leaflets and urged residents to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third term. As part of their campaign strategy, door-to-door distribution of first aid kits for heatstroke was planned for the Kasba constituency.

Bawankule expressed his discontent upon discovering that the kits featured only Mohol’s photo and Minister Chandrakant Patil’s name, questioning the absence of Prime Minister Modi’s image. Despite his inquiry, local leaders Hemant Rasane and Rajesh Pandey were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation.
