Pune, 7th April 2024: A distressing incident has emerged concerning the disappearance of a young man from Pune while aboard a ship en route from America to Singapore. The father of the missing individual has complained to the Warje Police Station and has implored authorities to enlist the support of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of External Affairs in locating his son.

The missing individual has been identified as Pranav Gopal Karad, aged 22, residing near Ganpati Matha Mandir in Warje. Pranav was recruited by Wilhelmsen Ship Management India Pvt. Ltd. in Andheri, Mumbai, and subsequently employed as a ‘deck cadet’ on a ship bound for America for six months.

According to information provided by the company via email, Pranav went missing from the ship on April 5th. However, subsequent attempts to obtain satisfactory information from the company have proven futile. The family is grappling with the distressing situation as efforts continue to locate Pranav. Senior Police Inspector Manoj Shedge has assured that necessary steps are being taken by the authorities in response to the filed complaint at the Warje police

station.
