Chinchwad, 11th October 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been actively engaged in their ‘Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan’ as part of ‘Maha Vijay-2024’ in the Pimpri-Chinchwad city, making significant strides in their campaign efforts.

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of BJP members, politicians, and leaders, including BJP city president Shankar Jagtap, MLA Mahesh Landge, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, MLA Uma Khapare, and many other prominent figures.

The highlight of the event was the presence of the State President of BJP, Chandrasekhar Bawankule, who interacted with the ‘BJP Warriors’ from Pimpri, Chinchwad, and the Maval assembly constituencies within the Maval Lok Sabha constituency. The campaign commenced at Radhika Chowk, Pimpri, under the ‘Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan’ initiative and continued with interactions with citizens in the Shagun Chowk and Sai Chowk areas.

Addressing the gathering, Bawankule touched upon various significant topics, emphasizing the progress and achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He particularly highlighted the positive changes brought about by the Modi government, such as the passage of the reservation bill for women and the empowerment of ‘Narishakti’ (women’s power).

Bawankule noted that, in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections, women will play a pivotal role, with 191 women contesting for Lok Sabha seats and around 100 for Legislative Assembly seats.

Furthermore, Bawankule lauded the government’s efforts in clearing all hurdles related to the construction of the grand Ram Mandir, which is set to open its doors to the public in January 2024. He took a swipe at Congress leaders who had once mocked the idea of the temple’s construction, stating, “Mandir Wahi Banaenge, Magar Tarikh Nahi Bataenge.” Bawankule cheekily asked how they felt now that the temple’s construction was well underway.

During the ‘Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan’ event’s concluding meeting, State President Bawankule highlighted various key decisions made by the Modi government over the past nine years, including the efforts on issues such as ‘Triple Talaq,’ Ram Mandir, ‘Nari Shakti Vandan,’ and the recently initiated ‘Vishwakarma Yojana.’ He attributed these accomplishments to the collective voting and support of the people.

Bawankule’s visit to Pimpri-Chinchwad received a warm welcome, with city activists contributing to the campaign’s enthusiasm by tying saffron turbans and presenting him with a 30-foot garland. The event’s planning was executed under the leadership of City President Shankar Jagtap, and the sounds of drums reverberated through the city as the campaign gathered momentum.
