Pune: BMCC Wins Top Prize in Firodia Karandak Inter-College Competition

Pune, 26th February 2023: The Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) emerged victorious in the Firodia Karandak Inter-College Competition with their presentation ‘Tum Bahte Rehna’, earning various individual prizes. Sir Parshurambhau (SP) College came in second place for their presentation ‘Ubermensch’, while DY Patil College of Architecture took third place for their presentation ‘Sambari’.

The final round of the Firodia Cup, organized by the Swapnabhoomi Socio-Economic Development Society, was held on Saturday and Sunday, with nine colleges participating. The competition was judged by prominent personalities in the entertainment industry. The students were elated upon hearing the results.

Individual prizes were also awarded. Hrishikesh Mule of BMCC won first place in writing, Jitamitra Kulkarni of SP College came in second, and Arya Digrajkar and Arthav Khot of MIT took third. Sanket Hadal of BMCC won first place in direction, Prachiti Bhave and Neel Deshpande of SP College came in second, and Sachin Dafle and Vedang Gidye of D.Y. Patil College of Architecture took third.

Mayank Mohire of BMCC won first place in the men’s acting category, with Sanket Hadal of BMCC coming in second and Neel Deshpande of SP College taking third. In the women’s acting category, Sakshi Deshpande of BMCC won first place, Yogini Deshmukh of ASCOE won second place, and Sai Kamble of Fergusson College took third place. Incentive prizes were also awarded in various categories.

Finally, Shreyas Chaudhary, Vishal Jhalke, Omkar Yerawar, and Vaishnavi Khandagale of JSCOE were recognized for their team performance. The results were announced on Sunday evening.
