Pune, 10th March 2025: In a significant development in the case involving businessman’s son Gaurav Ahuja, who was caught on camera urinating at a traffic stop in Yerawada, Pune police took Ahuja and his co-accused, Bhagyesh Oswal, to the scene of the incident today. This was part of the ongoing investigation into charges of public nuisance and obscene behavior filed against them under various laws, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Maharashtra Police Act, Motor Vehicles Act, and Prohibition Act.

The incident took place on March 8 at Shastri Nagar Chowk, where Ahuja, allegedly intoxicated, was filmed urinating in public. The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and prompting police action. Both Ahuja and Oswal were arrested and remanded in police custody. Investigators are also probing whether the duo consumed drugs, as suggested by preliminary findings.

Ahuja had surrendered to Karad Police after the incident and was later brought to Pune for legal proceedings. His friend, Oswal, was arrested from his residence. The court initially granted only a one-day police remand, despite the prosecution’s request for a seven-day remand to conduct further inquiries.

The case has reignited discussions on public misconduct and accountability, with many calling for stricter action against such behavior.
