Pune: Bodies of Woman and Two Children Found Burnt in Ranjangaon; Murder or Suicide?

Ranjangaon, 25th May 2025: A shocking incident has come to light in the Ranjangaon Khandale area of Pune district, where the charred bodies of a woman and two children were discovered near the Grovel Company along the Pune-Nagar Highway.

According to police, the bodies are severely burnt, making identification difficult. Preliminary investigations suggest the possibility that the husband may have set his wife and children on fire, though officials have not ruled out other angles, including suicide.

Upon receiving the information, the Ranjangaon police team rushed to the scene and began a detailed investigation. A forensic team was also deployed, and the bodies have been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Police sources said the three victims — the woman and two minors — were brought to the location where petrol was allegedly poured over them before they were set ablaze. However, due to ongoing rain in the region, the fire may not have completely consumed the bodies, aiding investigators in collecting evidence.

Authorities are also probing whether a domestic dispute led to the incident or if there was another motive.
