“I have tried to take this Bonsai art which was known as Waman Vruksha Kala in ancient India forward by taking relentless effort in the past 38 years. To popularize this art we organized ‘Bonsai Namaste’ the largest exhibition of Bonsai plants in Pune. India has about 1500 species of trees of which Bonsai can be made so we have developed a certificate course to learn this art and thus create some employment opportunities. The certificate course is in the last stages of development and shall be commenced soon. This course can provide new opportunities to nurseries and rural women that are connected with agriculture.

Dr. Prajkta Kale has authored many books on Bonsai. She has been honoured by many institutions for her outstanding work in Bonsai. She is a Guinness World REcord holder for largest exhibition of Bonsai plants. She was awarded a Doctorate by the European International University. She is the first person to get a Doctorate in Bonsai. She is in the process of creating the largest Bonsai Garden in India.
