Pune : Bopodi To Samvidhan Chowk Road Opens For Traffic Movement From Today
Pune 1st Sept 2023: The traffic movement that was diverted between Bopodi and Samvidhan Chowk has finally come to a halt as the traffic department has opened the road for vehicular movement from today. The road was closed due to ongoing Metro work in the area. As a result, the vehicles taking this route had to take a long route and travel around 4 to 5 kilometers more to reach their destination due to diversion.
However, the commuters will now be able to take a straight route to reach their destination on this stretch as the road has been opened for the vehicular movement. Since this was the main road on Pune-Mumbai highway that also connects Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad it witnesses a heavy traffic jam during the peak hours every day and due to the diversion it further had added more problems to the issue.
It may be noted that Pune stretch between Civil Court and Phugewadi was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an event on August 1. The traffic movement on many places in the city was diverted due to ongoing work of the Pune Metro but since the work is already over the roads are opened for vehicular movement and the citizens are not subjected to the traffic jams on these stretch.
