Pune : Man Assaults Wife To Death After She Confronts Him For Molesting Daughter
Pune 1st Sept 2023: In a shocking incident reported in the city, a 41-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting his 17-year-old daughter and assaulting wife to death when she confronted him. The incident took place on August 28 in Awhalwadi area of Lonikand.
According to police, the accused molested his daughter while she was sleeping after he came home under the influence of alcohol and when his wife spotted the act and confronted him on this he started assaulting her. As his daughter and 15-year-old son tried to intervene, the accused locked them in a room and assaulted his wife with a stick. He even got petrol from his bike and poured it on the deceased wife but as he realised that she already stopped movement he did not light the matchstick.
Later it was revealed that the 38-year-old woman had died of multiple injuries due to assault. The accused after releasing the children from the locked room threatened them to not speak to anyone about the incident. However, the daughter informed her uncle after which the matter reached police and a case was registered under relevant sections. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
