Pune: Bouncer and Four Others Booked for Beating College Student in Koregaon Park

Pune, 8th April 2023: A college student, Aryan Rohit Dutta (19), was brutally beaten following a minor dispute at a Penthouze in Koregaon Park. The incident has resulted in a case being registered against four people at the Mundhwa police station. The youth has got 13 stitches.

The accused have been identified as Ritesh Vinayak Nimhan, Shantanu Marathe, Kishore Mune, and Saurabh Jadhav, all residents of Pashan. Aryan, who has been admitted to a private hospital, filed a complaint at the Mundhwa police station.

According to reports, Aryan and his friends were at the hotel in the afternoon when an argument broke out between his friend and the bouncer. They subsequently left for another hotel. However, the accused followed them and beat up Aryan. He then left for home by rickshaw, but the accused stopped the rickshaw near the Kalyaninagar bridge and beat him again.

Aryan was later admitted to the hospital by friends and subsequently lodged a complaint with the police while undergoing treatment. The case is being investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Sameer Karpe.

Police are yet to ascertain exact reason behind the incident.
