Pune Braces for Early Summer as IMD Issues Heat Alert Across Maharashtra

Pune, 10th February 2026: Pune and the rest of Maharashtra are set to feel the full force of early summer as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of a sharp rise in temperatures over the coming days. With no significant rainfall expected, hot winds and rising daytime heat are likely to cause discomfort, especially in the afternoons.

Though some areas may still experience slightly cool mornings, the relief will be short-lived. By mid-February, winter conditions are expected to retreat completely, making way for summer-like weather across most parts of the state.

Statewide Forecast: Mercury to Climb Up to 36°C
On February 11, Maharashtra is likely to witness dry and hot conditions. Maximum temperatures across the state are expected to range between 30°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures will remain between 17°C and 25°C.

Konkan: Sticky Heat Along the Coast
Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg will continue to experience hot and humid weather.

• Maximum: 32°C to 35°C
• Minimum: 23°C to 25°C

In Mumbai, Santacruz is expected to touch around 34–35°C, while Colaba may record 32–33°C. Skies could remain partly cloudy with light haze.

Western Maharashtra: Heat Builds in Pune and Surrounding Areas
Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur and Solapur will see steadily rising daytime temperatures.

• Maximum: 32°C to 35°C
• Minimum: 18°C to 22°C

Pune is likely to record around 33–34°C, while Solapur could touch 35°C. Dry air may increase dust levels. Farmers have been advised to plan irrigation carefully for rabi crops.

North Maharashtra: Warm Days, Mild Mornings
In Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar, afternoons will turn noticeably hot.

• Maximum: 31°C to 34°C
• Minimum: 17°C to 20°C

Hot winds are expected during the day, while early mornings may still feel relatively cool.

Marathwada: Dry and Intensely Warm

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Dharashiv, Parbhani and Nanded will face dry and hot conditions.

• Maximum: 33°C to 36°C
• Minimum: 18°C to 21°C

Rising heat stress and possible water concerns for agriculture are expected.
Vidarbha: Hottest Region in the State
Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Buldhana are likely to record the highest temperatures.

• Maximum: 33°C to 36°C
• Minimum: 18°C to 22°C

In Amravati and Akola, the mercury may cross 35°C, with harsh afternoon heat dominating.
