Pune Braces for Intense Cold as IMD Warns of Sharp Temperature Decline

Pune, 9th December 2024: In Maharashtra, the weather is currently dry and cold overall. With the monsoon season over, the cold is intensifying. In recent days, the temperature had dropped significantly, and everyone felt the chill. Although the weather stabilised briefly, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a significant shift in temperatures across the state.

IMD’s Pune Chief, K.S. Hosalikar, stated that Pune is expected to experience a noticeable drop in temperature in the coming days. The next five days are predicted to be particularly cold for Punekars. Hosalikar shared this update on X (formerly Twitter), mentioning that Pune’s minimum temperature could drop as low as 11 degrees Celsius. Similarly, other parts of Maharashtra are also expected to see a temperature dip. Citizens across the state, including Pune, are advised to prepare for the approaching cold weather.
