Pune Water Supply to Be Suspended on December 12 for Maintenance Work: PMC
Pune, 9th December 2024: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that water supply to several parts of the city will be suspended on Thursday, December 12, due to construction and electrical maintenance work at the Parvati Water Treatment Plants (new and old), Bhama Askhed, Warje, SNDT, and other facilities. Water supply is expected to resume late on Friday, December 13, albeit at low pressure, according to Nandkishore Jagtap, head of the water supply department.
Areas Affected by the Water Cut
Parvati MLR Tank Area:
Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Kashewadi, Quarter Gate, Ganj Peth, Bhavani Peth, Nana Peth, Lohianagar, Somwar Peth, Ghorpade Peth, Parvati Darshan, Mukundnagar, and nearby areas.
Parvati HLR Tank Area:
Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibwewadi, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Shivtejnagar, and multiple nearby localities, including Mukundnagar and Lake Town.
Parvati LLR Tank Area:
All Peth areas, Dattawadi, Rajendranagar, Deccan, Shivajinagar, Swargate, and surrounding neighborhoods.
SNDT MLR Tank Area:
Gokhalenagar, Shivajinagar, Model Colony, Kothrud, Vadar Vasti, Happy Colony, Dahanukar Colony, Baner, Balewadi, and parts of Aundh.
Warje Water Centre Chandni Chowk Tank Area:
Bavdhan, Sus Road, Bhugaon, and nearby regions including Shastri Nagar, Someshwarwadi, and Pashan.
Gandhi Bhavan Tank Area:
Kothrud, Karvenagar, Warje Malwadi, Bhujbal Township, and surrounding colonies.
Pancard Club GSR Tank Area:
Baner, Balewadi, and Pallod Farm areas.
Vadgaon Water Center Area:
Katraj, Dhankawadi, Ambegaon, Sahakarnagar, and adjoining locations.
Cantonment Water Center Area:

The PMC has advised residents to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously during this period. The municipal body has assured that efforts will be made to restore water supply as early as possible.
