Pune: Bride Hires Contract Killers To Murder Fiancé Days Before Wedding; Five Arrested, Bride On Run

Yavat, 1st April 2025: In a shocking turn of events from Daund taluka in Pune district, a bride-to-be allegedly hired contract killers to eliminate her fiancé as she was unwilling to marry him. Yavat police have arrested five individuals in connection with the case, while the prime accused, the bride, remains absconding.

According to police reports, the victim, a young man from Karjat taluka in Ahilyanagar district, was set to marry Mayuri Dangde from Shrigonda taluka. However, Mayuri was reportedly unhappy with the arranged marriage and did not wish to wed the man. In a bid to prevent the marriage, she allegedly conspired with Sandeep Gawde to hire contract killers for ₹1.5 lakh to execute the murder.

The victim worked as a cook at a hotel near Khamgaon in Yavat. On the evening of 27th February around 7:30 pm, a group of assailants intercepted him near Khamgaon Phata in Daund taluka and brutally attacked him with wooden sticks. The assault left him gravely injured, and he later succumbed to his wounds.

Following an investigation, the police arrested Aditya Shankar Dangde from Gughalwadgaon in Shrigonda. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the murder along with his accomplices. The arrested individuals include Aditya Shankar Dangde, Sandeep Dada Gawde, Shivaji Ramdas Jare, Suraj Digambar Jadhav, and Indrabhan Sakharam Kolpe, all residents of Ahilyanagar district. Meanwhile, the prime accused, Mayuri Dangde, is on the run, and police efforts to locate her are ongoing.

Authorities continue to investigate the case while searching for the absconding accused.
