Pune: Brutal Accident Caught on Camera in Wakad, Two-Wheeler Rider Miraculously Survives

Wakad, 24th February 2025: A video of an ‘apparently’ brutal accident is currently going viral on social media platforms. The incident occurred in the Pimpri Chinchwad area on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway, in front of Hotel Tip Top International in Wakad. The accident involves a black sedan braking urgently, drifting, and hitting a two-wheeler driver very brutally. A case has been registered at Hinjawadi Police Station against the unknown sedan driver. Miraculously, the two-wheeler driver is alive and now completely out of danger.

Dinesh Vaijnath Vishwakarma (age 32, resident of Pune) has filed a complaint at Hinjawadi Police Station. A case of rash driving has been registered.

According to police reports, Vishwakarma was traveling with a friend in front of Hotel Tip Top International in the Wakad area on the Katraj-Dehu Road section of the Mumbai-Bengaluru National Highway yesterday around 6:30 PM when he was suddenly hit from behind. A black sedan, driven recklessly, hit the brakes suddenly, resulting in the car drifting and the rear of the car cleanly hitting the two-wheeler. The entire incident was captured on a dashcam and looked horrific. However, when the complainant Vishwakarma was taken to the hospital, he was declared out of danger, having suffered only a concussion. The case was registered late at night.

Police Sub-Inspector Dnyaneshwar Jhol is investigating the matter further. Senior Police Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat, in charge of Hinjawadi Police Station, told Punekar News, “The accident video looks brutal; however, in reality, the two-wheeler driver didn’t sustain heavy injuries. We registered a case late last night. The two-wheeler driver is out of danger. We are investigating the matter further.”
