Pune, 17th April 2022: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will celebrate its 15th anniversary on 19th April 2022. To mark this occasion, PMPML has organized various programs including ‘Bus Day’ on Monday, April 18th.
The public transport utility has appealed to the citizens of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad to make maximum use of the PMPML buses to help reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
Convenience and discounted services for the citizens on the occasion of Bus Day and Anniversary are as follows:
1) On 18th April 2022, on Bus Day, 1800 buses will be running on the route for passenger service.
2) Passenger service will be provided in Pune city from Kothrud Depot to Deccan, Swargate to Vadgaon Dhayari Phata, Swargate to Shivajinagar (via Bajirao / Shivaji Road), Jangli Maharaj Road, Fergusson College Road through dedicated lanes under police guidance and with the help of volunteers.
3) As 19th April 2022 is the anniversary of PMPML, the minimum ticket price for passengers in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits will be Rs 5 and the maximum ticket price will be Rs 10. In Punyadasham bus service will be free for the full day. (There will be no change in the current ticket price outside the limits of both the Municipal Corporations.)
4) On 20th April 2022, in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal limits, women passengers will be able to travel all day long at a discounted rate of Rs 10 pass for one day. (There will be no concessions outside the municipal limits.)
Lucky draw for passengers on the occasion of Bus Day
On Bus Day, every passenger traveling in buses will be given an information leaflet from PMPML with information about the services and facilities offered by PMPML. It will also have a lucky coupon and the passengers have to write their name, address, mobile number and feedback about the PMPML service. The coupon is to be deposited in the box placed in each bus and bus stand. Attractive prizes will be given to the winning passengers by drawing a lucky draw from the collected coupons.
The first prize winner will be given a free pass to travel for one year, the second prize winner will be given a free pass to travel for 6 months, 3rd place winner will be given a free pass to travel for 3 months and 14 winners from 14 depots will be given a free pass for 3 months.
