Pune: Business Community Comes Together for Collective Lakshmi Puja at Tulshibaug
Budhwar Peth, 2nd November 2024: On Friday (1st November), hundreds of traders, shopkeepers, local residents, and workers gathered to perform a mass Lakshmi Puja at the historic Tulshibaug in Pune.
This collective worship is an important tradition within the business community, as Goddess Lakshmi is revered as the deity of wealth, happiness, and prosperity. The ceremony aims to promote not only financial well-being but also unity and harmony within the community.
The initiative, which started a few years ago by Sagar Sunil Dahibhate, Trustee of the Small Business Association Tulshibaug, began modestly. Key organizers included Association President Rajabhau Dhawade, General Secretary Arvind Tandale, and members Sagar Gulumkar, Akash Desai, Naresh Malve, Mayur Shelke, Alka Navgire, Rajesh Sanke, Dinesh Dahibhate, and Pintu Biradar.
Rajabhau Dhawade emphasized the importance of collective effort, stating, “If we work together as an organization and support one another, we will succeed in life. Conversely, if we try to go it alone, we are likely to fail. The aim of this initiative is to unite everyone on this auspicious day in prayer.”
General Secretary Arvind Tandale added, “This initiative strengthens cooperation and faith within the community. Praying for wealth, prosperity, and peace through Lakshmi Puja is a noble endeavor, and we feel fortunate to participate in this effort, spearheaded by youth leader Dahibhate.”
