Pune: Businessman Duped Of Rs 42 Lakh With Fake Promise Of Petrol Pump
Pune, 8th August 2022: A businessman from Hinjewadi was defrauded of Rs 42 lakh with the lure of getting a petrol pump agency.
The businessman filed a complaint with the Chaturshringi police and a case was registered against Irfan Amjali (Res. West Bengal), Sharmila Kumari (Res. Bihar), Rina Kumari (Res. Mumbai), and another accomplice.
The accused had drawn people to get a petrol pump distribution system on a website. The businessman contacted the mobile number given in the advertisement on the website, after which the thieves extorted 42 lakh rupees. After realizing the fraud, the businessman lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered against the thieves under the Fraud and Information Technology Act. The Chathushringi police are conducting the investigation.
