Pune: Businessman Gautam Pashankar Among Three Booked For Cheating Man Of Rs 2.4 Crore

Pune, 12th September 2021: An FIR has been registered against three persons, including Gautam Pashankar, a well-known businessman, for allegedly defrauding a man of Rs 2.4 crore.

Based on a complaint from Narendra Panditrao Patil (42) of Panchvati, Pashan Road, Shivajinagar police station has registered the case against Deep Vijay Purohit of Kalyaninagar, Gautam Pashankar and Rinal Pashankar, both residents of Shivajinagar.

According to the police, Narendra Patil decided to buy P101 and 102 flats in Pashankar’s C Building in Proxima Creation Building at Kharadi. They were valued at Rs 2.87 crore and a written agreement was made. Patil had paid Rs 2.4 crore.

However, Patil was never given possession of the flats. He came to know that one of the flats was sold to other persons.

When Patil sought clarification, Pashankar called him to his office on June 8, 2020. Patil was allegedly beaten and his right leg was fractured at Pashankar’s office.

Later, Patil lodged a complaint with police after he failed to get back the flat or his money. The accused persons have been booked for offences under sections 409, 420, 326,506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Senior Police Inspector More is further investigating the case.
