Chikhali, 27th October 2023: A significant camp was held in Chikhali and Talawade Villages to facilitate the occupation of road space in the upcoming development plan. Landowners and developers were present from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to hand over plots as part of the urban planning initiative.

The following road development plans were the focus of the camp:

1. 12m/18m wide DP road from Indraprastha Mangal Office at Chikhali to Santpeeth
2. 12m, 24m, and 30m wide road from Sane Chowk in Chikhali to Chikhali village
3. 30m wide DP road from Dehu Alandi to Sonavane settlement in Chikhali
4. 24m wide road from Chikhali Chowk in Chikhali to Sonavane Vasti
5. 24m wide remaining road from Triveninagar Chowk to Talwade Chowk at Talwade
6. 18m DP road connecting Talwade Kanbe Chowk to Nigdi Spine Road at Talwade
7. 12.00m riverside road at Talwade and 24.00m on Chikhli Talwade Shive road

Landowners and developers were guided through the process of site confirmation, map assessment, and the allocation of Forms A’ and ‘B’ by the Town Planning Department. Information about the necessary documents for TDR/FSI was also provided.

A total of 17,290 square meters of land was occupied during yesterday’s camp, and the camp will continue today. The Municipal Corporation’s well-organized event received cooperation from many landowners, who submitted their documents and took immediate possession. Others who sought information about the required documents will return for the camp today on 27/10/2023 to secure their plots.

The response to today’s camp indicates a positive outlook for the Municipal Corporation’s control over the designated road areas. With the rising TDR prices and increasing demand in the market, landowners are eager to secure land under TDR. The award of the mentioned roads will be announced soon under the Land Acquisition Act, and after that, the TDR/FSI option will no longer be available to landowners. Therefore, the Municipal Corporation encourages everyone to submit their documents to the Town Planning Department promptly to benefit from TDR/FSI.
