Pune: Cancer And Anaemia Screening Camp Organised At Military Hospital NDA
Khadakwasla, 10th February 2023: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, a Cancer and Anaemia Screening Camp for ladies of National Defence Academy, Military Institute of Technology and Defence Institute of Advanced Technology was organized in Military Hospital, National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla from 04 Feb 2023 to 08 Feb 2023.
The Cancer and Anaemia Screening Camp was inaugurated on 04 Feb 2023 by Mrs. Reyman Kochhar, President, Family Welfare Organisation, National Defence Academy and was attended by all the ladies of the Family Welfare Organisation.
A total of 214 ladies were screened for Cervical Cancer by PAP Smear and were examined for Breast and Oral Cancers. A demonstration was also given for breast self-examination and the ladies were also tested for Anaemia.
The main aim of the camp was prevention, education and early detection of Cancer and Anaemia among the ladies.
