Pune: Car-Motorcycle Collision Near Hotel Pyasa Mandai, Driver Caught After Dramatic Chase to Deep Bungalow Chowk

Pune, 25th December 2024: An accident between a car and a motorcycle near Pyasa Hotel Mandai on the evening of December 24 (Tuesday), led to a dramatic sequence of events. The four-wheeler driver fled the accident scene but was stopped by the motorcyclist at Deep Bungalow Chowk, after 5 km chase, with the help of local citizens.

The driver of the car was subsequently handed over to Chaturshrungi Police Station, where he was subjected to a medical examination before being transferred to Khadak Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Senior Police Inspector Vijayanand Patil, in charge of Chaturshrungi Police Station, clarified that this incident does not involve any reports of an accident affecting nine vehicles, as speculated in some accounts. “Legal action has been taken immediately in this case,” Patil confirmed.
