Pune: Car Overturns Six Times Trying To Save Girl, One Dead And Eight Injured
Pune, 20th November 2022L In an attempt to save a girl who was crossing the road, a terrible accident took place at Dolasane on the Pune-Nashik highway. The driver of the speeding car suddenly pressed the brakes and the car overturned.
In this accident, one person in the car died on the spot, and eight people were injured. The accident took place on the border of the Pune and Ahmednagar districts.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Shankar Dere (62), a resident of Narayangaon. The occupants of the car were Rohit Vijay Dere (23), Ujjwala Vijay Dere (48), Mohit Vijay Dere (30), Savita Anil Shete (48), Shaila Dilip Warule (58), Vinayak Shivaji Dere (50), and Shobha Dashrath Viaal (54). The young girl crossing the road has been identified as 12-year-old Vaishnavi Vishwas Mengal (age 12).
The family was returning to their home in Narayangaon. At the same time, Vaishnavi Mengal, a little girl in Bamblewadi Shivara in Dolasane, suddenly started trying to cross the road from the bifurcation of the road. When the driver, Vinayak Dere, noticed this, he pressed the brakes of the car to save the little girl. Due to the speed, the car overturned five to six times and stopped on the side of the road under the highway. In this accident, Vijay Dere died on the spot, while eight people, including the child, were injured.
