As per the police report, the accused was found engaging in the illegal and hazardous activity of transferring gas from a larger cylinder to a smaller one. Upon apprehension, the police confiscated a sum of 27 thousand 700 rupees from him. A case has been officially registered, and the police are currently investigating the matter.

Following the blast incident in Tathawade resulting from the illegal transfer of gas, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has intensified efforts to track down individuals involved in such unauthorized gas transfers. Many individuals attempt to acquire gas through these illegal means for cooking purposes due to the lower cost compared to the official market rate. Besides being illegal, these transfers pose a significant danger to the surrounding areas as they can lead to rapid and hazardous fires.
