Pune: Case Registered Against Boy For Impregnating 12-Year-Old Girl; Investigation Underway
Pune, 12th December 2024: A distressing case has emerged involving a minor boy who allegedly enticed a schoolgirl into a romantic relationship, ultimately leading to physical intimacy. The case has come to light following the revelation that the 12-year-old girl is now pregnant. Consequently, a complaint has been lodged against the minor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The victim’s mother lodged a complaint on Tuesday (10th December) against the 17-year-old boy at the Lonikand police station.
According to police reports, the events transpired between August and October 2024, during which the minor reportedly lured the girl into love and engaged in sexual relations with her.
After discovering that she was four months pregnant, the victim confided in her mother about the situation, leading to the filing of the complaint at the police station. In response, the Lonikand police have initiated a case against the minor under the POCSO Act, with further investigations being carried out by Police Sub-Inspector Manoj Bagal.
