Pune: Case Registered Against Unknown In Attempt to Sabotage Railway Track In Uruli Kanchan With Gas Cylinder; Investigation Underway

Uruli Kanchan, 31st December 2024: In a shocking turn of events, authorities have uncovered an attempt to sabotage a railway track in Uruli Kanchan, located near Pune. The disturbing incident came to light on Sunday (29th December) at approximately 10:45 pm when a small gas cylinder was found placed on the tracks heading towards Pune, near railway power pole kilometer number 219/7-5, within the limits of Uruli Kanchan village.

The gas cylinder, which weighed 3.9 kg and was branded by Priya Gold Company, was discovered in the middle of the track. Authorities suspect that this act was intended to cause harm to the railway system, with the potential to endanger the lives of passengers and damage both the train and the tracks.

A case has been registered against unknown individuals at the Uruli Kanchan Police Station. Investigations are currently underway to identify the perpetrators and determine the full scope of their intentions. The motive behind this dangerous act remains unclear, but officials have expressed grave concern over the potential risk it posed to public safety.
