Pune: Chain-Snatching Incident Caught On CCTV, Raises Safety Concerns Among Women
Loni Kalbhor, 27th February 2024: The safety of women in Kunjirwadi village is under scrutiny after a daring chain-snatching incident took place in broad daylight. A 34-year-old woman, accompanied by her child, became the victim of the crime when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle snatched her gold chain valued at ₹1.35 lakh.
The entire incident, captured on CCTV, has triggered a police search for the culprits, leaving local women anxious about their safety.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon when the woman was returning home. Two individuals on a motorcycle approached her and forcefully snatched her gold chain despite her cries for help. The robbers
managed to escape.
An FIR has been registered against two unidentified robbers at Loni Kalbhor police station.
Further investigation is going on.
