Pune: Chandrabhan Khalde Granted Conditional Bail in Kishore Aware Murder Case

Talegaon, 19th April 2024: Chandrabhan Khalde, who is accused in the Kishore Aware murder case, has been granted conditional bail by Additional Sessions Judge JL Gandhi. A total of eight individuals, including Khalde, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Kishore Aware, the founder and president of the Jan Seva Vikas Samiti, was murdered on May 12 in front of the Talegaon Dabhade Municipal Council office. In response, police apprehended seven people, including Bhanu Khalde’s son Chandrabhan. On July 8, 2023, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police detained Chandrabhan Khalde from Sindhi Colony in Nashik, 57 days after the incident.

Ujwal Pawar has been named Special Public Prosecutor for the Kishore Aware murder case. Adv Sudhir Shah, Adv Akshay Patni, and Adv Parth Chavan represented Khalde during the proceedings. Following arguments from both sides, the court granted conditional bail to Khalde.

Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaobey assembled a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the Kishore Aware murder case, initially led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Prerna Katte. Her role has since been assumed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr Vishal Hire.

Talegaon is known for its thriving industry, education, tourism, and agriculture. Its crime patterns are unique, prompting the relocation of the Anti-Gunda Squad and Crime Branch Unit 5 to the area. A comprehensive team, including the Crime Branch, SIT, and other units, has been tasked with investigating the murder.

The eight individuals arrested in connection with the case are:
– Sham Arun Nigadkar, 46, resident of Talegaon Dabhade
– Praveen alias Raghunath Sambhaji Dhotre, 32, and Adesh Vitthal Dhotre, 28, both residents of Nane, Maval
– Sandeep alias Nanya Vitthal More, 39, resident of Akurdi
– Srinivasa Venkataswamy Shidgal, 38, resident of Varale, Maval
– Gaurav Chandrabhan Khalde, 29, resident of Talegaon Dabhade
– Manish Shivcharan Yadav, 21, resident of Chandkhed, Maval, a native of Bihar
– Chandrabhan Bhanudas Khalde, 63, resident of Talegaon Dabhade
