Pune: Chandrakant Patil’s Meeting For Kasba-Chinchwad Elections; Says Candidate Was Not Discussed In Today’s Meeting
Pune, 23rd January 2023: By-elections have been announced for Kasba and Chinchwad assembly constituencies in Pune. Voting will be held on February 27. After the death of the MLA Mukta Tilak of the Kasba constituency, there is a discussion about who will get the nomination from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) for this seat. In the background of this by-election, Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil held a meeting of important officials.
After this meeting, Patil held a press conference and gave information regarding the same. Patil said that former MLA Jagdish Mulik will lead this by-election. The party will make strong preparations despite the right constituency.
“We have started working as per our working method. The candidate will contest the election under the leadership of MP Girish Bapat and the core committee will take a decision regarding the candidate.”
Patil has said that there was no discussion about the candidate in today’s meeting.
Patil informed, “So after all the parties indicated that the election will be held, we have started preparations. We will try to make the elections unopposed and we conducted the Andheri by-election unopposed. As the election will be contested by the Mahavikas Aghadi, we will not remain indifferent.”
He has also said that the names of interested candidates will be sent and three names will be selected and considered.
Speaking further, Patil said, “Our announcement was not made in the street but from Delhi.”
