Pune, 15th September 2022: On Wednesday, the general administration department of the Maharashtra state government issued orders to hand over the charges of PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar to Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao for the time being as Vikram Kumar is on medical leave.

However, the term of the administrator of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) ended yesterday (14th) and no letter has been received from the government regarding this.

For the past six months, all decisions are being taken by the administration under the chairmanship of the standing committee, and strategic and financial decisions of the main general body. This administration period ended today September 14.

It is necessary to extend the term of the administrator due to the non-election of the municipal corporation and the election of new members. Municipal officials said that the corporation has not yet received any letter in this regard.

Meanwhile, discussions are going on in the PMC for the past few weeks that Vikram Kumar will be transferred after his term is over. The commissioners of Pimpri Chinchwad and PMRDA have changed but the commissioners of PMC have not.
