Satara: PMPML Launches Free E-Bus Service From Parking Lot To Kas Plateau
Pune, 15th September 2022: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will launch a 12-kilometre free e-bus service for tourists to the Kas Plateau near Satara from the parking area for private automobile vehicles.
Dattatraya Zende, PMPML’s Traffic Manager said, “Five 12-meter long e-buses in total have been placed into service. A parking location has been developed by the tourism agency that is around 12 km from the plateau region. Private vehicle owners must park their cars in the designated space before boarding an e-bus to take them to their destination. The last-minute preparations are underway.”
The official also mentioned that Satara would soon have one e-bus charging station.
Zende continued, “After being charged at Satara, the buses would head to the parking lot. Two buses can be charged simultaneously using a charger. Buses may easily run all day if they are fully charged. Visitors would receive free transportation to and from the plateau. The service is a state tourism department effort, and they will pay us.”
